Three Sisters: three towers above the Jamison Valley

The best-known view in the Blue Mountains, from the edge of Katoomba.

The Three Sisters are three weathered sandstone towers in the Jamison Valley below Katoomba, west of Sydney. According to the NSW park authority they stand on Gundungurra and Darug Country and are an officially declared Aboriginal Place; there are different versions of their story.

The best view is from Echo Point. The platform belongs to Blue Mountains City Council and lies just outside the national park, while the rocks themselves are inside it. From there the view reaches across the valley to Ruined Castle and Mount Solitary.

Neither the lookout nor the walk to the rocks costs anything. You only pay with private operators such as Scenic World on the edge of Katoomba.
