Manuel Antonio on the Pacific coast sells tickets only online and closes on Tuesdays. You may only enter Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula with a licensed guide, usually by boat from Drake Bay or Uvita. No road leads to Tortuguero on the Caribbean coast; you arrive by boat from La Pavona, and green turtles nest on the beach from July to October. See also Manuel Antonio National Park.

The park guides give fees from the fee decree, opening hours and directions, with sources from the protected-areas agency SINAC and the Costa Rica Tourism Board (ICT).
