De Hoge Veluwe National Park: landscape and origins

The Hoge Veluwe charges admission because it is private and 88 % of its funding comes without subsidies. The museum has its own ticket.

The prices apply from 1 January to 31 December 2026. At the park entrances and in the Theehuis De Kemperberg you can only pay by card.

The Kröller-Müller Museum is a separate organisation. Its combined ticket includes the park: €27.75 for adults, €20.80 for 13 to 18-year-olds, €6.95 for children aged 6 to 12.

A horse costs €4.90, a coach €44.85 excluding passengers. The walking, cycling and road map costs €2 at the entrances.

The park lies between Arnhem, Ede and Apeldoorn.

Line 106 runs from Ede into the centre of the park and stops at the Otterlo entrance and the Kröller-Müller Museum; you can buy the park ticket on the bus.

Dogs must always be on a lead; they are not allowed in the Museonder, the museum or the hunting lodge, but they are in the Park Pavilion.

On foot you may only use paved roads and paths; the resting areas of the large game are off limits.

At the three game observation posts and five game meadows, best in the late afternoon and towards evening. According to the park, red deer also show up along the Wildbaanweg and at the Bosje van Staf.
