Kasprowy Wierch: by cable car to the border
From Kuźnice in two sections to 1,959 metres (6,427 ft) – park entry is included in the ticket.
The Polskie Koleje Linowe (PKL) cable car runs from Kuźnice on the southern edge of Zakopane to Kasprowy Wierch, the summit on the border with Slovakia. The line is 4,291.59 m long and climbs 936 m (3,071 ft); at Myślenickie Turnie you change to the second cabin. The top station lies at 1,959 m (6,427 ft), 26 m (85 ft) below the summit.
A cabin holds up to 60 people and travels at 8 m/s, slowing to 6 m/s at the six towers. In season it runs every 10 minutes, every 30 minutes in poor weather and when few people travel.
The Tourpass is valid for a fixed time and includes entry to Tatra National Park. With a return ticket you have 1 hour 40 minutes at the top; a one-way ticket down is only sold at the top station ticket office.
