The Via dell'Amore: one path, one time slot, one direction
Open again since 2024 — for visitors only with a Cinque Terre Card and a booked entry.
The Via dell'Amore links Riomaggiore and Manarola in Cinque Terre National Park on a path cut into the cliff. The municipality of Riomaggiore gives 900 metres (2,953 ft), the park authority's trail sheet 1.1 kilometres (0.7 mi) and 25 minutes. After a landslide in 2012 it was closed for twelve years; it has been open again since 27 July 2024.
There is no separate ticket: access is included in the Trekking Card and the Train Card, and you book the time slot when you buy or later with the voucher code. Together with the Trekking Card, one day costs from €10. At most 400 visitors per hour are let in.
Until 24 October 2026 it is open daily from 9:00 to 21:00, last entry 20:30; from 26 October from 9:00 to 18:00. Visitors walk only from Riomaggiore to Manarola and have at most 30 minutes. You return by train or over hill trail 531.
